Hi Autumn is in full swing, all the leaves are gone from the trees, and the days are getting shorter.
If you prefer to exercise outside, you don't have to let the short days keep you from your walking or running program. Perhaps join a walking/running club, or, if your community has a track that is lit up in the evenings, then try going there for your workout. Are you looking for ways to promote your business? Have Your Fitenss Results Hit a Wall? Have you been exercising for the last few months and have now hit a wall? It is common when beginning an exercise routine to initially get great results, but after a time, experience little or no results, even with continued hard work.
Here are Six Tips to Get You Over the Wall:
Check Your Technique - Are you flying through your exercises and doing them too fast? You may not be challenging your muscles enough. Check whether you are letting momentum or gravity do most of the work instead of your muscles. Slow down and get your muscles to do the work.
Look at All Aspects of Your Life - Is your life so full that your body does not have time to recover from your workout? Your body needs down time. Be sure you are getting enough rest and sleep to sow the fruits of your labour.
Are You Exercising Too Much? - If you find you are doing less than you could in other aspects of your life because you are feeling fatigued or irritable, you may be exercising too much without giving your body a chance to recover. Try walking for a week to give your body a chance to recover, and then return to your exercise program.
Eat Properly - Since beginning your exercises program, you have expected your body to do more for you. Feed it the best quality food possible so it is able to give you the results you desire.
Vary Your Sets & Repetitions - Have you been doing 3 sets of ten followed by a rest? Try alternating one upper body exercise with a lower body exercise with no rest between exercises. This will keep your body working while giving one muscle group a break, and will allow you to do more in a shorter period of time.
Work with a Trainer and Get Results - People who work with trainers get the results they want faster, stick to their program longer and push themselves harder. A small investment in a trainer will help ensure you get the results that you want from your fitness program.
